Specialized clinical services help adults with a developmental disability who have higher support needs.

Ontario’s Community Networks of Specialized Care coordinate and enhance specialized services for people with a developmental disability. This includes people with a dual diagnosis who have a developmental disability combined with a mental illness and/or behavioural challenge. They need extra support to participate in the community and rely on specialized services to enjoy a meaningful quality of life.

How to get help

People with a developmental disability and their families work with their regional Developmental Services Ontario office to apply for the kind of supports they need.

Contact Developmental Services Ontario to apply. If you’re eligible, staff there will help you complete a developmental services application package to assess your needs and connect you with services and supports as they become available.
