Update: Canada Post Labour Uncertainty

Ontario Works recipients:

If you receive your monthly payments by cheque, please contact your local office for more information about this month’s cheque.

Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD) recipients:

Whether there is a strike or not, payment cheques will not be mailed out this month, but will be available for pick-up. Contact your local office to find out when and where to pick up your cheque or to make alternate arrangements.

  • Direct deposit and reloadable payment card statements will be mailed out as usual.
  • You can continue to use your August drug and dental cards in September.

All social assistance recipients can contact their local offices or call the Interactive Voice Response system (1-800-808-2268) for more information.

If you are a Family Responsibility Office client who normally sends or receives support payments by mail, please read this important information regarding payments during the potential postal disruption.

This program offers both financial and employment assistance.
