HOW TO APPLY FOR EMPLOYMENT SUPPORTS UNDER THE ONTARIO DISABILITY SUPPORT PROGRAM

Many people with disabilities can and do want to work.

Employment Supports is a component of the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) designed for eligible people with disabilities to help overcome barriers to employment.

This is a voluntary program that helps eligible people with disabilities prepare for, find and keep a job in their community.

You do not have to be in receipt of ODSP Income Support to qualify for Employment Supports.

Eligibility

You may qualify for Employment Supports if you have a physical or mental disability that is expected to last a year or more and which makes it hard for you to find or keep a job.

You must also be:

  • willing and able to work;
  • living in Ontario;
  • legally able to work in Canada; and
  • 16 years of age or older.

You may also qualify if you are currently working, but are having difficulty keeping your job because of your disability.

For more information, you can contact the Ministry of Community and Social Services ODSP Employment Supports office nearest you.

If you like, you can complete the application forms on your own. Here’s what you’ll need:
