Call 1-800-808-2268 to access the IVR system.
The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System provides you with fast and easy access to personal information about your Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Income Support file over the telephone, toll-free. You can also access general information about the program.
You can use the IVR system to find out:
-
the date and amount of your most recent payment;
-
a history of payments issued to you within the last 45 days (number of payments, date of each payment and amount of each payment);
-
your overpayment balance (if applicable); and
-
the status of your case file, such as “ongoing”, “suspended”, or “terminated”.
IVR can be accessed from anywhere in Ontario using a touch-tone telephone. Information is available in both English and French.
What you need to use the IVR system
To use the IVR system, you will need:
Once you are eligible for Income Support under ODSP, you will receive by mail the 9-digit identification number (member ID) and a temporary 4-digit PIN. These numbers will be mailed to you in two separate packages.
When you access the system for the first time, you will use the temporary 4-digit PIN that you have been given. When you are in the system, you will be asked to change the temporary 4-digit PIN to one that you choose. Your PIN can be changed at any time.
What happens if you have trouble using the IVR system
It’s easy to use the IVR system. Once you have accessed the system, you can press zero at any time to reach the Help Desk.
The Help Desk can give you technical help, such as resetting your PIN and helping you use the IVR system.
The Help Desk cannot answer questions about your personal case file information.
If you can’t get the information you need through the IVR system, you can contact your local ODSP Income Support office.
What happens if you forget your PIN
If you forget your PIN, all you have to do is dial the IVR toll-free number at 1-800-808-2268 and press zero. The Help Desk will verify your identity and reset your PIN.
The IVR system is safe and secure
In order to use the IVR system, you must enter your 9-digit identification number (member ID) and your 4-digit PIN. You should keep your PIN confidential. If you think that someone knows your PIN, you can change it. Only share your PIN with someone who may be calling on your behalf (e.g. an interpreter or a support worker).
What if you can’t use the IVR system
The IVR system can’t be used in certain circumstances. For example, the TTY system, which is a telecommunications device for the hearing impaired, cannot be used directly with IVR.
If you are currently using the TTY system to communicate with your local ODSP Income Support office, you should continue to do so.
