WHAT IF YOU DON'T COMPLY

The customer service standard is the law. Persons and organizations who are covered by this standard must comply with it.

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 allows for the enforcement of the standards.

Sections 13 to 28 of the Act address the system of compliance and enforcement that will be implemented, including:

  • compliance reporting
  • inspections
  • orders and monetary penalties
  • appeals

Future regulations developed under the authority of the Act will provide specific direction on these compliance and enforcement measures.
