What is a reciprocating jurisdiction?
A reciprocating jurisdiction is a jurisdiction (territory, province, state, or country) that has entered into a formal arrangement with Ontario to enforce each other’s support orders. Reciprocating jurisdictions must have support laws that are similar to those in Ontario.
- The United States of America, including the 50 states, American Samoa, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, United States Virgin Islands and any other jurisdiction of the United States participating in Title IV-D of the Social Security Act (U.S.A.).
- The Commonwealth of Australia and the following States and Territories of Australia:
