Is this program for me?
The Developmental Services Worker Apprenticeship Program is a new and unique opportunity for people who are:
- currently working for a development services agency
- students interested in an apprenticeship opportunity, or
- looking for a career change.
How does it work?
You can earn money while you work towards a Certificate of Apprenticeship.
You can also apply your general college education credits (as determined by each college) towards the Developmental Services Worker Diploma.
What is involved?
You will get about 90% of your apprenticeship training while working in a developmental services agency alongside qualified employees who support people with a developmental disability.
You will spend the remaining 10% in the classroom with instructors from local community colleges or other approved training organizations.
