ODSP office hours are now 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday with reduced staff, with service by phone and email. Please be patient as we do our best to assist you, answer calls and respond to inquiries.

To help ensure the continued health and safety of clients and staff, please visit the office only if necessary. Before going to the office, please contact your caseworker.

Key information for clients

You will continue to receive your monthly ODSP payment. If you usually pick up payments from your ODSP office, you should contact the office for instructions.

If you need money to travel to get a COVID-19 vaccination, speak with your caseworker.

If you have other exceptional COVID-19-related costs, ask your case worker about discretionary benefits.

Find your Ontario Disability Support Program office.

Make sure you report your income before the 7th of each month to avoid any interruption in your payments. You may use the MyBenefits online service, mail, fax, or email. You can also call the office, and if you don’t reach your caseworker you can leave a voice message with your member ID or name and date of birth. Please do not bring income reports to the office.

If your Special Diet Allowance, Mandatory Special Necessities or other benefit is expiring, it will be extended. You do not need to send a new form.

If you need a new benefit such as eyeglasses, repairs to a wheelchair, or other assistance, please contact your ODSP office. If you can’t get in to see a healthcare practitioner, we will help you complete the relevant form.

Applying for ODSP and medical reviews

We continue to process ODSP applications. We can send the application package directly to an applicant’s healthcare practitioner to help avoid in-person visits.

If you have an ODSP application package or medical review package that is due soon but you can’t submit it to the Disability Adjudication Unit by the deadline, call us at 1-888-256-6758 or 416-326-5079 to ask for an extension.

If you have any questions, call the Disability Adjudication Unit at 1-888-256-6758.

Internal reviews and appeals

If you disagree with a decision you can request an internal review. If you disagree with the internal review decision, you can appeal it to the Social Benefits Tribunal.

For questions about an SBT appeal, contact the SBT at 1-800-753-3895 (toll free), 1-800-855-0511 (TTY), or visit sjto.gov.on.ca/sbt

Payments from Employment Insurance and other recovery benefits from the federal government

If you lost your source of income because of the COVID-19 outbreak, you may be eligible for federal government benefits, including:

  • Employment Insurance (EI)
  • Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB)
  • Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB)
  • Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) *

* The Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) ended on October 23, 2021, but you may still be able to apply for this benefit if you were eligible, until December 22, 2021.

Visit the federal government website for more information or to apply for federal benefits.

If you are on ODSP and eligible for any of these benefits, you are required to apply for them.

When received, all federal benefits must be reported to your caseworker. These benefits will be deducted from ODSP payments.
